And when we thought that the Charlie Sheen hype had ran it's course, the self-proclaimed "Warlock" has decided to get on the concert bandwagon. Sheen announced on twitter on Friday that two concert dates were planned for the "My Violent Torpedo Of Truth / Defeat Is Not An Option" tour. The dates are April 2 at Detroit's Fox Theatre and April 3 in Chicago at the Chicago Theatre. Ironically, tickets for both shows went on sale and within 24 hours of Sheen's announcement, immediately sold out.
But don' despair, you can still be "Winning". E! News announced that Sheen's tour will be expanded to include as many as 20-30 cities. These dates could be announced as soon as this week. Sheen also stated on his website that $1.00 from each ticket will go to the Red Cross Japanese Earthquake Relief Fund.

Bret Michaels is plagued yet again with another serious health issue.
People.com reports that the Poison front-man was rushed to the hospital Thursday night after suffering from an excruciating headache. What they found was scary to say the least. Doctors at an undisclosed hospital placed Michael's in the ICU after discovering that he had suffered a massive brain hemorrhage. After countless tests, CAT scans and MRI's, Michaels is now in critical condition.
This comes only a couple weeks after Bret Michaels emergency appendectomy in a San Antonio, Texas hospital. It is not clear weather this latest life-threatening condition is related to the appendicitis and Bret's ongoing battle with diabetes.
Everyone at The80sChild.com pray for a safe and speedy recovery for this great 80's rock icon.

80's dance diva Stacey Q has a new dance CD out called "Color Me Cinnamon". Her first album in 12 years, "Color Me Cinnamon" is a 14-track disc in which is a return to dance music for the artist and already features two singles, "Trip" and "Pandora's Box".
Longtime Stacey Q producer Jon St. James said about the album, "Our goal was to make an album that had our signature Stacey Q sound and to hell with what is trendy at the moment," St. James said. "After 'Better Than Heaven,' we were always tortured by record company opinions about what we should do. That's not conducive to creativity. We worked long, passionate hours to achieve these results. I'm very proud of this musical journey called 'Color Me Cinnamon.' "
"Color Me Cinnamon" refers to a character that Stacey Q played on a 1987 episode of "Facts of Life" aptly named Cinnamon. She is best known for her 80's dance hits "Two of Hearts" and "We Connect". Stacey Q will be performing in various clubs in support of "Color Me Cinnamon." Stay tuned for her new concert dates coming up here at The80'schild.com

Eighties teen idol Corey Haim died Wednesday morning at 2:53am at his house in Burbank. Investigators suspect an accidental drug overdose. No autopsy has been performed yet but police found four empty prescription bottles at the house. No illicit drugs were found at the residence. Apparently Haim was suffering from flu-like symptoms for a couple days before his death. His mother, Judy called 911 after Haim complained of breathing trouble.
Canadian born, Corey Haim was an 80's teen idol with movies hits like "Lucas", "Silver Bullet", "License To Drive" and of course "The Lost Boys". Recently, he was star of the A&E reality show "The Two Coreys" opposite his long time friend, Corey Feldman, another 80's child star who also stared in "The Lost Boys". Feldman wrote on his blog: "This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family, and best friend."
Haim struggled with long-time drug addition but it is not yet clear what the cause of death is. The 80's Child says RIP to an 80's icon. Corey will be missed.

Before "American Idol" there was only one "Idol" and that was Billy Idol. He takes the stage this summer in a world concert tour starting up in Moscow, Russia on June 5th, 2010. Billy Idol and crew will shoot through Russia and continue all over Europe. He will be touring countries like Finland, Germany, Serbia, Macedonia and Switzerland. He will then be coming to North America with dates to be announced.
Billy will debut his new rocking band along with some familiar old faces like guitarist Steve Stevens, bassist Stephen McGrath and keyboardist Derek Sherinian. Also on the road with Idol will be Billy Morrison of "Circus Diablo" on guitar and Jeremy Colson, drummer who has worked with Steve Vai since 2002.
Billy Idol may not be American or the American Idol, (thank God) but he is definitely the 80's Idol with hits like, "Rebel Yell", "Eyes Without A Face" and "White Wedding" to name a few. I'm sure the real "Idol" fans will be thrilled to see Billy in concert! Stay tuned for North American tour dates here on The 80's Child. See European Tour Dates.

The band's performance will mark the first in the U.S. in 18 years. 2010 also marks the 30th anniversary of their first U.S. tour and appearance on American Bandstand where Dick Clark had introduced the band as "a memorable moment in rock n roll, something special and interesting." A-ha Farewell Tour - U.S Concert Tour Dates Added
A-ha has announced 3 new farewell tour dates for the U. S. and Tickets go on sale Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 and Friday, February 5th, 2010. A-ha also has dates scheduled in Spain and Denmark. The band will play 2 dates in New York and 1 Date in Los Angeles.
A-ha recently decided to call it quits after the success of the "Foot of the Mountain" album. According to the official A-ha community, the band stated, "We've literally lived the ultimate boy's adventure tale, through a longer, more rewarding career than anyone could hope for.
Doing this now will give us a chance to get more involved in other meaningful aspects of life, be it humanitarian work, politics, or whatever else - and of course through new constellations in the field of art and music. We are retiring as a band, not as individuals."
The band will also not be producing anymore albums in the future. 2010 marks the 25-year anniversary of a-ha's multi-platinum debut album Hunting High & Low The bands single 'Take On Me' become a number 1 in 27 countries worldwide, including the USA.
Norwegians Pal Waaktaar and Magne Furuholmen, formed a-ha in the early '80s, later on joined by Morten Harket. Among their eight top ten singles are, "The Sun Always Shines On T. V." and the 80's anthem, "Take On Me", A-ha's video, which used groundbreaking techniques to meld real life and comic book like animation, received massive airplay on MTV. This solidified them as mega-stars and a-ha's album "Hunting High And Low" hit the top 10 in U.S.
A-ha's pop-synth sound made them a staple in the 80's. The band has planned this Farewell tour to end with a bang. The last concert will take place in Oslo on December 4.
I probably don't need to stress, if you've ever wanted to see a-ha in concert, this will be your chance. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity. Get your A-ha tickets here starting February 2nd.
