English musician and producer Thomas Dolby was born in 1958. He is best known for his 80's hits "She Blinded Me With Science" and "Hyperactive". He also has worked extensively as a session musician through the years. Thomas Dolby's music is associated with early 80's 'New Pop' or 'New Wave'. With his use of electronic instruments, he created a distinct sound which then gave him a spot on both the UK and US charts.

"She Blinded Me with Science" included sound samples from Dr. Magnus Pyke. Dolby's electronic hit reached #5 on the U.S. Hot 100. It was featured very shortly in the "Treehouse of Horror XIV" as well as on an episode of The Simpsons.
