Simple Minds and OMD ( Orchestral Manoeuvers In The Dark) team up toward the end of 2009. So far, nine UK concert dates have been announced. This concert will support the release of Simple Minds upcoming album, 'Graffiti Soul'. Dates are mainly in December with one date at the Newcastle Arena 11-November. Sales for the upcoming dates will begin April 26th, 2009.

Simple Minds have hits in both the U.S. and Europe. The were 80's icons and hit it big in the U.S. when they same the song, "Don't You Forget About Me" for the John Hughes film "The Breakfast Club." OMD or Orchestral Manoeuvers In The Dark also had a hit song in the John Hughes film, "Pretty In Pink". "If You Leave", took them from cult favorite to big success in the U.S.

I know I don't just speak for myself when I say, I think there are many people right now hoping that the US will get a chance to see both Simple Minds and OMD in the near future. They are two great iconic 80's bands. Stay tuned and hopefully the 80's child will bring you that breaking news soon!
