Early 80's band Ratt screams American glam and was instrumental in the formation of the hard rock glam scene in early 80's Los Angeles. Formed out of San Diego, Ratt enjoyed significant commercial success in the 1980s. The band's most notable hits are "Round and Round," "Wanted Man," "Lay It Down," "You're in Love", "Way Cool Jr." and "Back For More."
First formed in 1976 as Mickey Ratt by founding member vocalist Stephen Pearcy, it was changed to Ratt in 1981 after the band moved to Los Angeles to land a record deal. "Out of the Cellar" was released in March 1984, with the hit song "Round In Round". The single, which peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100, got massive airplay on MTV and Out of the Cellar became a commercial success, going platinum many times over in the U.S.
