Back from a long hiatus starting back in 1992, English post-punk group Public Image Ltd. (PiL) has reformed for a 2010 tour through North America after a successful tour in the U.K.

Regarded as one of the most innovated post-punk rock groups, Public Image Ltd. (Pil) formed in 1978 after the break-up of the Sex Pistols. John Lydon, former front man of The Sex Pistols teamed up with Jah Wobble and Keith Levene to form PiL and create an innovative sound combining Rock, Dance, Folk, Ballet, Pop and Dub. PiL enjoyed hit successes in the 80's like "Public Image" and "Rise".

The tour begins after the bands appearance at the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California. The band's performance will mark the first in the U.S. in 18 years. 2010 also marks the 30th anniversary of their first U.S. tour and appearance on American Bandstand where Dick Clark had introduced the band as "a memorable moment in rock n roll, something special and interesting." John Lydon will be joined by former band mates, Lu Edmonds, Bruce Smith and Scott Firth.
