Inxs Concert Tour
New Inxs 2012 Music News

Australian rock band INXS was formed in 1977 in Sydney. For twenty years, Michael Hutchence fronted the band on lead vocals, His looks and magnetic stage presence made him the focal point of the band as well as one of the most well-known 80's front men. Initially, INXS was known as a New Wave/ska/pop band. They later developed a harder pub rock style, including funk and dance elements. INXS had many hits in the 80's from the albums, "Original Sin","Listen Like Theives" and "Kick".

On 22 November 1997, tragedy struck in a Sydney Ritz-Carlton hotel room. Charismatic lead singer Michael Hutchence was found dead from suicide. Hutchence had apparently been suffering from depression and under the influence of drugs and alcohol. It took almost a year for the band to start touring again with minimal performances featuring guest front men.

INXS found the bands new front man through the reality contest, "Rock Star: INXS". Singer J.D. Fortune won the show and began to tour with the band as the new "Hutchence". It's been tempestuous relationship but, he will be heading up this 2012 North American tour. The band will be supporting the 2010 release of "Original Sin which featured the like of Matchbox 20's Rob Thomas and Train's Pat Monahan.
