Gene Loves Jezebel are a rock band from the early 1980s founded by identical twin brothers, Michael and Jay Aston. Gene Loves Jezebel hits include "Sweetest Thing", "Heartache", "Bruises", "20 Killer Hurts", "Gorgeous, Up Stairs", "Motion Of Lov"e and "Beyond Doubt".

In 1989 Michael left Gene Loves Jezebel due to his unhappiness with the direction of the band and strained relations with his twin brother, Jay. The brothers were reconciled in the mid-1990s, but again split up to go their separate ways. Today Michael Aston is the founder and current leader of the U.S. version of Gene Loves Jezebel. Gene Loves Jezebel is celebrating 25 years in March 2012.
