Dennis DeYoung is best know as lead vocalist, keyboardist, accordion player, producer, writer of Styx. With Styx in limbo following Shaw's 1984 departure, Dennis DeYoung also spent most of the 80's on a solo career. His first solo album, Desert Moon, generated a top 10 hit, "Desert Moon", and the follow-up single, "Don't Wait For Heroes", cracked the Billboard Top 40 as well. Desert Moon was followed by albums Back to the World (1986) and Boomchild (1988).

After a brief reunion, recording, and touring, DeYoung left Styx for good in 1999. A Styx reunion with both Tommy Shaw and Dennis DeYoung is out of the question but you can see DeYoung perform "The Music of Styx"this summer at a venue near you. Check below for concert dates and locations.
