Southern rockers .38 Special has deep ties to historic southern rock The band was originally formed by Donnie Van Zant, the brother of Skynyrd's leader, Ronnie Van Zant. After a period highlighting a strong southern sound, .38 Special reworked the bands sound as a crossover between blues rock and arena rock. The bands line-up is Don Barnes, Donnie Van Zant, Danny Chauncey (guitar), Larry Junstrom (bass), Bobby Capps (keyboard) and Gary Moffatt (drums). 38 Special are known for there early 80's hits, "Caught Up in You," "If I'd Been the One," "Back Where You Belong," and "Like No Other Night."
